Everything I Wore in Big Sur

When packing my wardrobe for Big Sur, I knew I wanted to bring a combination of practical and romantic/whimsical pieces. Big Sur really is the perfect combination of dramatic beauty, and grounding nature. So wearing dresses that matched the scene, in addition to having clothes and workout sets for hikes, was the way to go.

For our drive down, I opted for this yellow checkered Faithfull The Brand dress. This dress really feels like the beginning of Spring to me and while I know we still have a few weeks left until it's officially the new season, wearing this dress while we drove along the stunning rocky cliffs felt like the right decision.

It's romantic and comfortable and would make a lovely Easter dress this year that you can wear well into Summer on date night or out with friends.

outfit details: Cara Cara Kelly dress (sold out, similar here)

I have wanted a Cara Cara dress for a very long time. So when I saw this one on sale at Shopbop and in my size, I knew this was my opportunity. This dress is so unbelievably cute, and I felt it only fitting to wear it in the organic garden while we walked around and learned about what was growing on the resort grounds.

It's so colorful I started receiving compliments the moment I stepped out of our yurt! Cara Cara has some of my favorite prints and it's safe to say, this is one of my favorite pieces in my closet now!

I paired it with the Neely & Chloe x Julia Berolzheimer bag that I got off of Poshmark! I wanted the bag when I first saw it as a part of a Julia Berolzheimer collaboration, but they sold out almost immediately! I was so excited when I stumbled upon one while on Poshmark and was able to get it at a discounted price!

The bag is still listed as sold out on the Neely & Chloe website, but you can sign up to be notified when there are more in stock!

outfit details: Reformation Yucca Two Piece (this print is sold out but the same style is here)

For our Sushi dinner date, I wanted to wear something that was feminine, romantic and indicative of a special occasion. It was intended to be an "engagement-moon" after all, so I wanted the dress to reflect the flirtatious, date night energy that we had.

I love this Reformation two piece. I purchased this one in a random flash sale they were having on the site and I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten it because the print is no longer available.

They do, however, have it in all white which could a lovely bridal party or bachelorette party outfit!

This adorable tie front top is a part of my clothing rentals this month. I wore it on the last day of our trip as we were heading home and stopping at different little eateries along the way. We made our first stop at Big Sur Bakery which was as delicious as it always has been.

I got the Tangerine tea and a pulled pork sandwich that changed my life. There was a beautiful tree in the corner of this little garden patio that was getting pink flower leaves all over one of the tables. So naturally, I told Cain we had to sit there.

This shirt is so cute and comfortable and has a very feminine shape. Will definitely be renting again!

This white blouse is so beautiful and the perfect Summer statement piece. It's another item that garnered a lot of compliments the day I wore it out for our little excursion into the nearest town for massages and lunch.

It's the perfect bell sleeve, eyelet top that can work in a variety of ways. Dressed up or down, it's just a stunning top. I paired it with these light beige Anthropologie jeans and the white sandals that I wore for the entire trip. And finished the look with my Neely & Chloe bag.
