The Golden Globes, otherwise known as the prequel to the Oscars, elicits more downplayed fashion choices from the celebrities in attendance. But as with all events, there are a few standouts who took the red carpet by storm with their grace & style.
Here are a few of my favorite looks from the 2024 Golden Globes.
Jennifer Lopez stuns in custom Nicole + Felicia Couture
JLo's dress might have been my favorite of the night. I love the combination of drama from the train and sleeves, with the feminine softness of the color and sweetheart neckline. Her hair styling gives us that old Hollywood glam that works so well on the red carpet and overall it is a fantastic look!
Cailee Spaeny in custom Miu Miu.
This dress is giving red carpet tea party, and I'm not mad at it!I love the combination of the dainty flowers on the dress with the obvious glam from the diamond necklace. It's a sweet dress that I wouldn't have expected to see on the red carpet, but I absolutely love it.
Natalie Portman in Dior.
This dress is phenomenal. The cascading ombre effect that ends at the bottom in a secret garden-esque mural of colors is simply stunning.
Margot Robbie in custom Giorgio Armani Privé dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
After the Barbie craze last year, Margot couldn't NOT show up in a dazzling, bright pink ensemble, in honor of the movie's namesake and theme. And she absolutely knocked it out of the park with this! It's simply screams "Hollywood Barbie" and the color is such a win.
Brie Larson in Prada.
Lavender is such a sweet and beautiful color that I don't think we get to see enough of on the red carpet. Brie Larsen's choice of a lavender Prada tea length dress combines the best of Old Hollywood glam, with modern flexibility and comfort.
Greta Lee in custom Loewe dress and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
I think this dress is incredibly unique, but what I love most about it is the color! The incredibly soft white with yellow-ish hue and undertone works so well with her skintone and truly makes her glow!
Julia Schlaepfer in Danielle Frankel dress and Spinelli Kilcollin and Robert Procop jewelry
I will admit, this dress is giving me some bridal vibes, but I still love it!It's sleek, it's sexy, but still simple and elegant. The cascading buttons coming across the waist, leading you into the slit is such genius designing and draws the eye to all the right places.
Rosamund Pike in vintage Dior dress, Philip Treacy headpiece and Boucheron jewelry.
I like this look because it's different. We saw a lot of tea length dresses on the carpet this year, but this one somehow takes a funeral look and makes it chic? The fit is incredible, I love the mesh on top and flower appliques. Not entirely sure how I feel about the headpiece, but it certainly creates an interesting look!
Hunter Schafer in custom Prada.
Obsessed is an understatement. This dress is the fairyland, whimsical, shimmery dress of my dreams! Hunter looks like a woodland fairy goddess in this and it is one of the most unique pieces that we saw all night. Loved!
Issa Rae in Pamella Roland.
Of course we save the best for last! Issa looks like a goddess in this Pamella Roland auburn & gold number. This dress is taking me back to the 70s, Motown, and disco fever but in all the right ways. I almost wish she would have worn her hair out and big! To enhance the Saturday Night Fever of it all.
